The Northern Nevada International Center celebrates its 13th Annual Global Gala on Friday, March 30, 2012 at the Atlantis Hotel/Casino Northern Nevada International Center.

We are delighted that First Lady Kathleen Sandoval has agreed to serve as honorary chair for this event. We will we will showcase Reno’s cultural and culinary delights, have a silent auction with an international flair, for the first time, recognize a Corporate Global Citizen.

First Annual 2012 Corporate Global Citizen of the Year Award

The Northern Nevada International Center (NNIC) is pleased to announce its first annual Corporate Global Citizen of the Year Award. This award will be presented to a Northern Nevada based corporation, non-profit or educational organization or a government agency at the NNIC’s 13th Annual Global Gala at the Atlantis Hotel/Casino on Friday, March 30, 2012.

With this first annual award, NNIC seeks to recognize local institutions or companies for their vision as global citizens and how this vision impacts our community and our economy. The following criteria will be used by a panel of judges to determine the winner:

1) Global initiatives: describe in 500 words or less how and why this entity has reached beyond the U.S. to establish linkages with foreign governments, organizations, businesses, trade groups or schools.
2) Global partnerships: describe in 500 words or less any specific partnerships that have emerged from this entity’s efforts and how the partners have mutually benefitted.
3) Impact on Northern Nevada’s communities and its economy: describe in 500 words or less the measurable impact the initiatives/partnerships listed above have had on the area’s quality of life.

To submit your nomination, or self-nomination, fill out the Global Gala 2012 Award Form and email it by Tuesday, February 14, 2012 to CLICK ME. Completed forms may also be mailed to the NNIC, 821 North Center Street, Reno, Nevada 89501. The finalist will be notified on February 21, 2012 and the winner will be featured at the Global Gala.
