South Africa Internship 2010
The Northern Nevada International Center is partnering with South African companies Matchworld and DAD Fund, and Sierra Nevada College to provide an exciting internship opportunity in South Africa for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The internship will focus on the marketing, administrative, and customer relationship management aspects of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
Internships are available for 3 or 6 month terms and will be located in Durban, Johannesburg, or Cape Town. The three month program is from May-July 2010 and the six month program is from February-July 2010. Internships are available for many organizations including FIFA, Coca-Cola, and Telkom. Applications should be submitted to the Northern Nevada International Center. Application deadline is Friday, October 16, 2009. Intern Criteria:
- Currently enrolled in College/University or recently graduated (all majors accepted)
- High work ethic
- Positive flexible attitude
- Good communication and writing skills (English)
- Open-minded-open to learning the culture
- Customer service focused
- High tolerance levels
- Keen interest in commerce or marketing
- Comfortable with new technology
- Resourceful in terms of gathering information
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Proficient with both PC and MAC + Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Intern Job Description:
- Writing briefs for external agencies
- Composing, coordinating, and deploying emails to internal and external customers
- Working on inter-departmental assignments to ensure they are executed accordingly
- Assist with sourcing suppliers and partners to work with on marketing campaigns
- Assist with managing marketing and promotional campaigns
- Assist with processing financial transactions and handling client queries
- Support the marketing team in the implementation of the marketing campaigns and events including coordination and administration
- Sourcing quotes from various suppliers and managing production process to ensure quality of output
- Assist with management production schedules
