The Northern Nevada International Center will be hosting a delegation of two youth development programmers from Palestinian Territories and Kosovo on April 21 – April 25, 2010. The delegation was invited to Reno as part of the International Visitors Leadership Program of the US Department of State.

The group is visiting Reno to examine the impact of volunteerism in U.S. communities and how volunteers, particularly young people, are inspired to help foster a culture of service and civic responsibility; to learn best practices in volunteer recruitment, retention and management; to explore the concept of ‘social entrepreneurship’ and efforts to organize, create and manage a venture to make social change; and to participate in community service activities.
