The Northern Nevada International Center will be hosting a delegation of 8 library professionals and 3 interpreters from Russia on July 5, 2009 to July 9, 2009. The delegation was invited to Reno as part of the International Visitors Leadership Program of the US Department of State.

The Reno portion of their program will be focused upon:

• University and college libraries;
• Library Science Education and training programs;
• Libraries for the Blind and Physically handicapped;
• technology innovations in libraries;
• Exploring library programs for diverse communities;
• learning how American libraries promote children and adult reading;
• looking at library programs that promote and preserve American history and culture.
