Delegate from Chile to study criminal prosecution

The Northern Nevada International Center will be hosting a prosecutor from Chile on June 20 to the 25. The delegation was invited to Reno as part of the International Visitors Leadership Program of the US Department of State. The Reno portion of their program will be focused upon:
- Structure of U.S. judicial system at the federal, state and local levels
- Communication and coordination between law enforcement officials and prosecuting attorneys
- Investigative techniques and technological tools for prosecuting IPR-related crimes
- Efforts to combat financial crime, including fraud and money laundering
- Anti-organized crime efforts and policy in America and international enforcement cooperation
- Prosecution of family violence cases – including domestic violence and crimes against children
- Alternative dispute resolution and mediation techniques
- Support and training programs for prosecutors and other judicial officials
