Incoming Delegations:

Delegates from Latin America to study the Administration of Justice and the Rule of Law

April 25th, 2009toApril 29th, 2009

The Northern Nevada International Center will be hosting 13 delegates, including Judges, Attorneys, a Vice Minister of Justice, a Press coordinator, and a Public prosecutor, from Latin America coming to Reno from April 25 – April 29, 2009. The delegation was invited to Reno as part of the International Visitors Leadership Program of the US Department of State.

The Reno portion of their program will be focused upon:

  • To examine the underlying principles of the U.S. judicial and legal systems and the culture of lawfulness in the United States,
  • Judicial training programs
  • Best practices in courtroom management, including the role of technology,
  • Judicial ethics and efforts to combat corruption
  • To examine case management, the trial by jury process and alternative dispute resolution in United States of America.
