The Northern Nevada International Center welcomed a delegation of Law Professionals from Montenegro to Nevada, from Feb 28 to Mar 4 2010. The delegation was in Reno as part of the International Visitors Leadership Program of the US Department of State.
The Reno portion of their program focused upon:
- Learning how the judiciary, prosecution, and law enforcement can work together effectively to address financial crimes and corruption including corruption of public officials;
- Examining the role and work of task forces and gain an understanding of interagency cooperation in combating these issues;
- Gaining insight into the process from arrest to arraignment to trial to sentencing, including the gathering and treatment of evidence.
