Delegation from Belarus visted Reno to network regarding global health issues

The Northern Nevada International Center hosted a delegation of five medical professionals from Belarus on Feb 21 to Feb 24 2010. The delegation visited Reno as part of the International Visitors Leadership Program of the US Department of State.
The Reno portion of their program focused upon:
- Rural health care
- Under-served and vulnerable population
- Community-level public health networks
- Rural mobile health units

During their visit in Reno, the delegation met with Ms. Kitty Jung, a member of the Washoe County District Board of Health to discuss Community-level public health networks and under-served populations. Ms Jung is also a Washoe County Commissioner. During the meeting the visitors were able to observe a press conference held by the county, and the cities of Sparks and Reno.
