Looking Back on Reno Visit by 25 Foreign Service Nationals From Across the World
“The Reno Program was great!”
The Northern Nevada International Center hosted cultural Foreign Service Nationals from 25 different countries throughout the world on February 3 to February 6, 2010. The Reno visit was a part of their training with the Foreign Service Institute of the U.S. State Department. During their time in Reno, the FSNs studied secondary and post-secondary education, Native American history and culture, and music and arts programming. Their favorite meetings included a visit to the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe Museum and a local High School.
A number of visitors expressed that they found their meetings in Reno to be very valuable. Some even said that the Reno portion was their favorite part of the program and their only wish was that their stay in Reno was longer!
