The Northern Nevada International Center hosted a delegation of two prosecutors from Japan from Jan 21 to Jan 27, 2010. The delegation was invited to Las Vegas and Reno as part of the International Visitors Leadership Program of the US Department of State.
The Reno portion of their program focused upon:
- Deepening their understanding of U.S. law enforcement and legal efforts to fight child pornography and Trafficking in Persons by meeting with government officials, academics, journalists and NGOs Meeting with US Colleagues and counterparts in Reno;
- Learning about child protection programs in the U.S.
