From Aug 20th to September 10th a group of 11 Belorussian Doctors are visiting the Reno area. These doctors and health care administrators are in the field of primary health care under USAID’s Community Connections Program. The NNIC has cooperated with public and private health care providers, federal, state and county government agencies and academicians to prepare a professional program for them.
During their visit in Reno, the participants will gain firsthand knowledge of how American families and society works through various cultural and community activities. To meet this goal, home hosts play an integral part as citizen diplomats for the program.
This program will include group outings, field trips, as well as sharing week nights and weekends with host families. The participants will experience a variety of cultural events such as spending a weekend at San Francisco, visiting Virginia City, enjoying scenic Lake Tahoe, as well as cultural festivals.
