Diplomatic and Environmental Delegates from Poland

From August 31st through September 4th, we were pleased to host Mr. Jan Jakiel, Mr. Adam Wajrak and Mrs. Malgorzata Gorska, who were part of a delegation of Polish Environmentalist currently working on saving Rospudy Valley that is considered a national wilderness area in Poland. During their stay in Reno they attended many meetings including meetings with local officials working for different environmental non-profit organizations and governmental agencies. They had an opportunity to dialogue with and discuss their major concerns with Associate Director of Friends of Nevada Wilderness, the Program Director of Keep Tahoe Blue Organization, Mr. Ben Aleck Native American Tribal Member and officials working for Bureau of Land Management and Tahoe Regional Planning Agency.
On September 28th a second delegation of Polish Officials will be visiting Reno for three days.� The second delegation will be compsed of four Mayors of the City of Warsaw, the capital of Poland.� They will be here to meet with Reno and Nevada counterparts and officials to discuss local and regional governance and cooperation.� If you would be interested in hosting a dinner reception for these international visitors, please contact Karolina Damron at 784.7515 extn. 226 or email her at kdamron [Email address: kdamron #AT# nnic.org - replace #AT# with @ ].
