Incoming Delegations:

Nevada, Foreign Relations and You

The Nevada Committee on Foreign Relations, Inc. (NCFR) was incorporated on January 17, 2002. It is the first statewide membership organization in Nevada to focus on the foreign relations of the United States. Members will be given opportunities to engage in frank and meaningful dialogue with diplomats and other officials who influence and shape American foreign policy.

NCFR’s aim is to foster an understanding of global issues and topical concerns in international affairs through study, debate, and educational programming. Its principal activity is to provide a forum for non-partisan, non-advocacy dialogue between its members and U.S. policymakers and other experts on foreign relations. It is an affiliate of the American Committees on Foreign Relations (ACFR), which assists the NCFR in identifying and sponsoring first-quality foreign affairs speakers for lectures and panel discussions throughout the year. Members of NCFR may attend the annual conference of the ACFR in Washington, D.C. each May.

NCFR members include current and former leaders of business, academia, media, government, cultural organizations, and the professions. In addition, honorary consuls, former diplomats, and volunteers involved in people to people diplomacy, as well as concerned citizens, are active supporters of the organization. Any one who desires to be a member of NCFR and shares an interest in educating themselves and others on world affairs within a nonpartisan and non-ideological venue may submit an application form and membership fee and, upon approval by the Executive Committee, shall be entitled to participate in NCFR events and enjoy all the other privileges of membership.

Please be sure to check the NNIC’s Calendar of Events where all current and upcoming NCFR activities are announced!
