The Northern Nevada International Center will be offering two classes during the Fall 2009 semester taught by Fulbright Arabic Teacher Yosri Tulbh from Egypt. These classes will cover reading, writing, and conversational skills as well as cultural information about Arabic speaking countries. Arabic is the fastest growing language in the world and is highly demanded for international affairs and government careers. Learning Arabic will set you apart on your resume and expand your career opportunities. High school students can get a head start on their college career by taking these courses, which are cheaper than courses at UNR. When students complete all four levels of Arabic that we offer they can petition to have their required foreign language credits waived. This opportunity is also open to non-students who are interested.
