As our globe becomes more closely connected, it is imperative for Americans to gain a better understanding of global issues and other cultures. Fostering this understanding is the mission of the International Center. We provide a wide array of community outreach programs for both children and adults that connect, educate and inspire people to take an interest in the world around them. Language and Culture Classes offer language and cultural education in Spanish, Mandarin and French to elementary students in various Washoe County schools, plus an express mandarin class for business executives.

IBET Program (Intercultural Business Education and Training) provides professional diversity and cultural competency training for organizations and companies.

The Northern Nevada International Center has joined the World Affairs Council. We are developing relevant and current educational series by recruiting speakers who are experts in their field. Membership in the World Affairs Council of Northern Nevada opens the door to exciting speakers, conferences, and other opportunities.
