Events Category for events, i.e. activities that are held on a given, specific date and that are shown until that event date has passed under the separate Upcoming Events listing in the sidebar of the site; events do not appear under the more generic Latest News & Hot Topics listing on the sidebar. Unlike event items, the news items are shown in the order in which they were added; a news item is shown until the given, maximum number of simultaneously shown news items has pushed it down and off the list.
