Home Hosts Wanted for the Algeria-United States Youth Leadership Program

The Northern Nevada International Center is actively looking for Home Hosts for the Algeria-United States Youth Leadership Program, for three weeks during the month of July of 2010. A special Home Host Orientation presentation will be held on June 7, 2010 to become familiar with the AYLP program, the students, and to learn how to become a Citizen Diplomat.

NNIC Selects Ten Nevada High School Students to Participate in Algeria Youth Leadership Program

Eight high school students from Northern Nevada and two students from Southern Nevada were selected to participate in this year’s Algeria Youth Leadership Program, funded by the US Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, Youth Programs Division. The project is administered by UNR’s NNIC for the second year in a row, through a grant of $275,000 from the State Department.
