Familiarize participants with the principals of judicial independence, the federal court system, and the structure of state and municipal courts;
Underscore the judiciary’s role in preserving and strengthening democratic concepts such as government accountability and individual rights;

[ January 23rd, 2010 to January 27th, 2010. ] A delegation of Family Law Judges from Slovenia visited Reno, in January 2010, to study the US Family Court System.

[ February 28th, 2010 to March 4th, 2010. ] The Northern Nevada International Center welcomed a delegation of Law Professionals from Montenegro to Nevada, from Feb 28 to Mar 4 2010. The delegation was in Reno as part of the International Visitors Leadership Program of the US Department of State.

[ February 21st, 2010 to February 24th, 2010. ] The NNIC will host a delegation of five medical professionals from Belarus on Feb 21 to Feb 24 2010. The delegation will visit Reno as part of the International Visitors Leadership Program of the US Department of State.

In celebration of International Women’s Day, the 4th Annual International Women’s Day Scholarship Fundraiser Luncheon was held in Reno, Nevada, on Sunday, March 7th. We thank everyone who participated and supported this cause and look forward to next year’s International Women’s Day.

[ May 19th, 2010 to May 22nd, 2010. ] From May 19-22, a Multi-Regional delegation will visit Reno, to explore the U.S. judicial system with special emphasis on the legal structures in place to protect children.

[ March 6th, 2010 to March 11th, 2010. ] The Northern Nevada International Center will be hosting a delegation of 8 political leaders and interpreters from India, Pakistan and Nepal on March 6 to March 11, 2010. The delegation was invited to Reno as part of the International Visitors Leadership Program of the US Department of State.

[ March 6th, 2010 to March 10th, 2010. ] The NNIC will host a delegation of 17 Law professionals from multiple countries in March, invited to Reno as part of the IVLP of the US Department of State, to study women’s involvement in the justice system in the US.

[ February 28th, 2010 to March 3rd, 2010. ] The Northern Nevada International Center will be hosting a supreme court judge from Malta. The visitor is invited to Reno as part of the International Visitors Leadership Program of the US Department of State.
