The Northern Nevada International Center is proud to announce that Khouala Bessam is one of the top students in Algeria. Ms. Bessam was a participant in last year’s US State Department’s AYLP which was hosted and conducted by the NNIC here at UNR.
[ June 30th, 2010 to July 5th, 2010. ] The Northern Nevada International Center will host an international visitor from Mongolia on Jun 30 to Jul 5 2010. The international visitor was invited to Reno as part of the International Visitors Leadership Program of the US Department of State.
The Northern Nevada International Center is actively looking for Home Hosts for the Algeria-United States Youth Leadership Program, for three weeks during the month of July of 2010. A special Home Host Orientation presentation will be held on June 7, 2010 to become familiar with the AYLP program, the students, and to learn how to become a Citizen Diplomat.
Eight high school students from Northern Nevada and two students from Southern Nevada were selected to participate in this year’s Algeria Youth Leadership Program, funded by the US Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, Youth Programs Division. The project is administered by UNR’s NNIC for the second year in a row, through a grant of $275,000 from the State Department.
The NNIC is hosting a delegation of Russian health and education professionals from 20 May to 10 Jun 2010, under the auspices of USAID. We are searching for 4 host families in the Reno-Sparks area, from 20 May to 10 Jun 2010.
[ May 21st, 2010 to May 26th, 2010. ] The Northern Nevada International Center will be hosting a delegation of six individuals from Algeria, Armenia, Japan, Mexico, Philippines and Sweden on May 21 – May 26, 2010. The delegation was invited to Reno as part of the International Visitors Leadership Program of the US Department of State.
[ June 22nd, 2010 to June 26th, 2010. ] The Northern Nevada International Center will be hosting a delegation of 10 journalism professionals from Latin America in June. The delegation was invited to Reno as part of the International Visitors Leadership Program of the US Department of State.
[ May 6th, 2010 to May 11th, 2010. ] The Northern Nevada International Center will be hosting a delegation of seven judges and legal professionals from Iraq on May 6 to 11, 2010. The delegation was invited to Reno as part of the International Visitors Leadership Program of the US Department of State.
[ June 17th, 2010 to June 22nd, 2010. ] The Northern Nevada International Center will be hosting a delegation of 14 prosecutors and intelligence officers from Europe on June 17 – June 22, 2010. The delegation was invited to Reno as part of the International Visitors Leadership Program of the US Department of State.
[ April 10th, 2010 to April 18th, 2010. ] The Northern Nevada International Center welcomes a delegation of Attorneys and Legal Counsels from Russia to Nevada on April 10 to April 18 2010. The delegation is in Reno as part of the Open World Program of the US Library of Congress.
